MY STORY

How I Started...

 

I got my first camera when I was in elementary school, and I was hooked. My goal was to be a photographer for National Geographic, and I would look at their pictures for hours. But, I also had a desire to help others.  

 

My desire to help others led me to Surry Community College, where I spent several years helping students choose careers based on what they enjoyed. The last four years I was at Surry, I helped high school students get ready for the colleges and careers of their choice.

After I retired from Surry, I decided it was time to get back to my first love - photography. I took several photography courses at Surry and realized I could still help people by saving their precious memories one photo at a time.  I began by shooting photos of family, friends and nature, and soon developed my own personal style.  Today, I capture the relationships between parents, children, siblings and extended family, including family portraits, senior photos, family reunions, weddings, photos for invitations or Christmas cards and photos of other family occasions.
